PhD studentResearch Overview
I am a Doctoral Researcher in the Organisation, Work & Technology (OWT) Department of the Lancaster University Management School, pursuing my studies from 2022 to 2026. I hold a BSc in Sociology (2nd Class Upper) and an MSc in Sociology of Development (Merit), both from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
Prior to my doctoral studies, I gained valuable experience in Teaching, HR, and Operations. My academic and professional background informs my research interests, which lie at the intersection of human capacity development, Decolonisation, and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. I am particularly interested in how organisational and socio-cultural practices affect the lived experiences of minorities and socially disadvantaged individuals.
My doctoral research focuses on how academic women navigate and manage maternity and mothering alongside their academic careers. Utilising a qualitative approach, this research aims to contribute to ongoing discussions about women’s employment experiences and the differing career outcomes faced by women in the Global South.
